How much does dryer vent cleaning cost?
If it's already clean, there's no charge!
Other companies charge a dispatch fee if they arrive a vent doesn’t need cleaning. We inspect before we do anything. If your vent is still in good shape, we’ll show you what we found, explain when to check it again, and there’s no charge for the visit!
The prices below are the most it would cost.
When it does need cleaning, your price is based on how far your vent travels to get outside and how easy it is to reach. Since most people don’t know exactly how long their vent is, the prices below are the most we’d charge for a first or second floor cleaning. If yours is short and easy to reach, it may cost less. Either way, we’ll confirm your price before any work begins. Please call if you want the most accurate quote (206) 237-4820.

Occasional Repairs & Replacements
In most cases, a standard dryer vent cleaning is all that’s needed. Occasionally, we may come across components that are damaged, unsafe, or no longer functioning as intended.
This can include things like:
- Exterior vent hoods that are cracked, stuck, or missing flaps
- Transition hoses that are crushed, torn, or improperly installed
- Older materials that restrict airflow or don’t meet current safety standards
When this happens, we’ll explain what we’re seeing and why it matters — clearly and without pressure.
How We Handle Recommendations
Sage is intentional about making recommendations only when they’re genuinely needed.
If a repair or replacement would improve airflow, safety, or long-term performance, we’ll walk you through:
- What the issue is
- Why it’s worth addressing
- What your options are
There’s never an obligation to move forward.
Replacement Options
For convenience, we carry common replacement parts with us and can install them during your appointment for an additional cost. This can be helpful if you’d prefer everything handled in one visit.
If you’d rather save a little money and handle the replacement yourself, that’s completely fine too. We’re happy to:
- Explain what part is needed
- Show you where it goes
- Share guidance on how to replace it safely
Our goal is to help you make the decision that feels right for your home — not to upsell unnecessary work.
Any optional repairs or replacements are discussed before anything is done. You’ll always know the cost ahead of time, and you’re free to decline.
That transparency is part of how we try to modernize the home service experience. Questions about what is included or which price applies to your setup? See our dryer vent cleaning FAQs or Contact us before booking.
